What is the law of consciousness?
Consciousness is both the source and the fundamental nature of the entire universe. So with a practical understanding of the law of consciousness, you can achieve everything you aspire to in life. All you need is understand the relationship between our conscious and the subconscious mind and to develop a practical understanding into the realm of consciousness.
The conscious mind is personal and selective, and operates in the realm of effect. The subconscious mind is impersonal and non-selective and operates in the realm of cause.
The conscious mind creates ideas and imprints these onto the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind accepts these ideas and provides them with shape and expression.
Forming an idea and then imprinting this conceived idea onto the subconscious is how all things emerge from consciousness.
The conscious mind influences the subconscious mind, which then manifests everything that is imprinted upon it. The subconscious mind doesn't generate ideas, but accepts the ideas the conscious mind perceives to be true, then sets about giving form to these accepted ideas.
So we all have control over creation by our ability to imagine, feel, and select the ideas we entertain. We can manage our ideas and emotions and in turn our subconscious.
The subconscious surpasses rationality and operates independently of logical reasoning. It interprets a feeling as an inherent fact and, based on this belief, sets out to manifest it. The cycle of creativity starts with an idea, progresses as an emotion, and culminates in a resolve to take action.
Regulating our emotions is the key to creating a fulfilling and joyful life. Emotion is the sole medium through which ideas are transmitted to the subconscious. Only our ideas felt are imprinted on the subconscious. The ideas experienced emotionally, felt as positive, negative or neutral, are the ones that become imprinted on the subconscious to be expressed.
Your reality is essentially the physical manifestation of your consciousness.
Statements such as "I AM wealthy, poor, healthy, sick, free, confined" were initially impressions or conditions experienced emotionally before they manifested as visible expressions.
A person who does not regulate their emotions can easily inadvertently imprint undesirable states on their subconscious. So to control our emotion we don’t suppress or restrain our feelings, but gently shape ourselves to only imagine and entertain those feelings that contribute to our happiness. We simply don’t imprint limitations on our subconscious. We avoid indulging in undesirable feelings, empathising with wrongdoing in any form or obsessing over your own imperfections or those of others. We don’t emotionally engage with actions we would not want done to us or another person. These are the principles and foundation of a fulfilling and happy life. Everything else is merely elaboration.
It is all done with Attention + Imagination + Feeling
Imagination can take you everywhere
We have the power to create the reality that we want. This power lies within our imagination.
Imagination is more important than knowledge as it can take you everywhere.
Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere. – Albert Einstein
Our progress is made by the conscious exercise of our imagination. Our progress is made by matching our inner speech to our fulfilled desire.
We can disregard appearances and conditions and evidence from our senses that deny the fulfillment what we want to attract into our life.
When we attempt to change the world before we change our inner talking, we’re struggling against the very nature of things. To change is to change the mental conversations we carry on with ourselves. To change our minds we first change the mental conversations we carry on with ourselves.
Imagination can take you everywhere. You must assume that you already are what you want to be. Be it NOW. That is the solution to everything.
Living from the end
Living from the end is to know it is done.
Living from the end is to assume that you already are what you want to be. And there is no more lack, need, or problem. You are not seeking anything anymore. It's done. You have it. You are it. The problem is resolved. THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO DO.
Knowing It’s Done
Know it is done. Now live your life fully—knowing your desirable reality is done. Even though you still see the "old negative" reality. Remind yourself this is the old reality and it is fading away as you’ve selected your desired reality.
Say to your self, I have selected my desirable reality and it is mine now. And spend your day living fully and enjoying your life. Focus on other things. Don't spend your days trying to fix anything. Be as if you already have what you're trying to manifest.
If your problem was solved what would you do? What you would do would be a good indication of living from the end now. Be that you, NOW.
I Am Statements
Placing “I am” into your imagination is incredibly powerful. An ‘I am’ statement has it’s power as it’s independent of what anyone else says. You are creating the reality when you place an I AMs into your imagination. Your thoughts, words and expressions and feelings create your experience as they attract into your life. But be particularly aware of your “I am” statements.
Live your life in a sublime spirit of confidence and determination; disregard appearances, conditions, in fact all evidence of your senses that deny the fulfillment of your desire. Rest in the assumption that you are already what you want to be. Neville Goddard
Affirmations, visualisations, feeling as if are important. Do them multiple times a day. And remind yourself: It's done. I have it. I am it. The problem is resolved. THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO DO.
You must stand guard more strictly over your thoughts and expression in words. Otherwise every time you say I am not, I cannot, I have not, you are whether knowingly or unknowingly throttling that great presence within you.
All change is done with attention
Everything is happening through your attention.
Too easy? Yes, and also too true.
It is all done with Attention + Imagination + Feeling
Limiting your self by your old and profound identity
The more you act out the old self the less you are changing. In fact you are not changing at all.
You can limit your self by your old and profound identity. Things correct when you have the trust in your dream and follow it.
It IS easy! Be NOW the guy you wanna be right now.
That self must go steadily into your ‘space for change’
‘AS IF’ you are already that person. Dressing as him. Talking as him. Acting as him 100%. Being him.
Self assertion is healthy. Do not be afraid to assert the you that you want to become.
It is coming from you. Them’s the rules. Come back to your vision of your self. Put it into practice.
Nature is on your team
Nature, is simply your nature. Nature is on your team. Life is playing for you not against you.
Attention + Imagination + Feeling. This is how you go into play.
Never forget to make a life
It is easy to harm yourself for money.
It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live.
Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life. – Unknown
Committed to 100%
Nothing works unless you are committed to 100%. Even 99% is uncommitted.
Do it NOW. That is the solution to everything.
Today already has the probabilities that you will need to become the YOU that you wish to become tomorrow.
Jungian dream interpretation
In Jungian dream interpretation, every person and object in a dream represents an aspect of the self. Your dreams are not about those other people or objects, but rather about you, the dreamer.
Jung considered dreams to be expressions of the unconscious mind. He believed dreams are how your unconscious mind communicates with your conscious mind and can be used to gain insights into your thoughts, feelings, and motivations.
Jung believed your dreams show you inner truth and reality, not as conjecture or as your would like it to be, but as it is. He believed your dreams are generated by your unconscious mind, not subject to conscious control, enabling them to be an honest reflection of your inner state.
According to Jung, dream symbols represent aspects of your personality, relationships and life goals. The dream images, objects, and themes appear in your dreams have a deeper meaning than their literal interpretation. However, dream symbols are open to interpretation and will have different meanings for different individuals.
Dream interpretation based on general Jungian dream symbols and may not fully capture the unique complexities of your personal subconscious. So reflect on what these symbols mean to you personally.
The inner dreaming is awake. In all of us. It usually has to use symbols. In this case some fears, concerns or something, synchronised his experience with immediate events.
Everything in your dream is YOU. You are simply having a symbolic discussion with your self. Dividing what you desire up. But you can’t get away from you.
You possess the freedom to craft your own unique, riveting, and relevant story
You possess the freedom to craft your own unique, riveting, and relevant story. Creating a personal narrative structure for your life can help alleviate the burden of your negative beliefs and definitions.
Your personal narrative will be two-sided as you’re always both the hero and the audience.
Infuse your story with a rich tapestry of tones, colours and emotions. Define a framework to give your story context, relevance, and meaning so you can infuse meaning into your narrative.
The stories we tell ourselves can inspire us to do better and be better. Focus on the positive things — learn from them, share them, and highlight the good things around you. You can help change the bigger story that seems to be full of problems. By doing this we can help make things better for ourselves and also creating a brighter future for the next generations.
Continually ask yourself: "What is my story? What am I telling myself?" Your self-questioning will help you refine and redefine your life narrative.
What is my story? What am I telling myself?
Multiple shorter walks for controlling blood sugar
Taking multiple shorter walks each day is more beneficial for controlling blood sugar than taking one longer walk. Make the walks brisk enough to be slightly out of breath and increase your heart rate.
Why? Physical activity increases glucose uptake into skeletal muscle cells, allowing the body to better regulate blood sugar. Multiple short intervals of physical activity can be more beneficial than an extended periods because the body has a decreased capacity for glucose uptake after an extended period of exercise. Therefore, taking multiple short walks with short breaks in between can help to regulate blood sugar levels more effectively.
To regulate blood sugar levels more effectively, aim to take multiple short and brisk walks each day instead of one longer walk.
Manifest anything you've ever wanted
With the right understanding and application, the world is yours to shape. Understand the power of your own thought process and it’s ability to manifest your desires. Stay focused, intentional, and you can create the life of your dreams. Clearly articulate your intentions, remain focused, and take inspired action.
First, clearly articulate your intention. It has to be crystal clear and true for you so you can infuse infuse it with more power than you’ve got running in the hardwired programs you’ve already got in your brain and your emotional conditioning in your body.
Second, nurture your awareness, and out of that awareness take inspired mindful action. Taking action from awareness you become your intention in action.
Third, stay focused and intentional. Keep being your intention in action. Pay attention to the synchronicities from your actions and intention, and use those as momentum to keep going.
Here are three quotes along these very lines:
- Mind is everything: What you think, you become (Buddha)
- Man is made by his belief: as he believes, so he is (Bhagavad-gita)
- As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7)
What you think, you become. Buddha
A coherent brain and heart and clear intentions
To change a belief or perception you have about yourself or you life, make an intention with such firmness that the power of the decision carries a level of energy that is greater than the hardwired programs in your brain and your emotional conditioning in your body.
Practice a coherent brain and heart feeling of abundance and set a clear intention. Then coherent attention can be used to create from the field instead of from matter. Then pay attention to the synchronicities that arise as a result of your efforts and use those as momentum to keep going.
To change how you see yourself, make a decision that's more powerful than your hardwired thoughts and feelings. Practice taking action on your vision while feeling abundant then watch for signs that your actions are working and and use those as momentum to keep going.
Stake your entire life here and now
Why don't you just live somehow? Aren't you feeling lost? Live lively! It's simple. Don't think about the past, why did you do such a thing? Don't be changed by anger. But don't think too much about the future, will it be okay? Ah, you become anxious then, right?
So, try your best, put your life into one spot. That's it! If you live right here and right now, everyone will live lively! Don't give up, don't you give up! Why would you give up there? Just endure a little more, don't give up!
Don't forget to think of the people around you, those who are supporting you. There's just a bit more to go. Even when I was at a -10, there were people doing their best, and if we keep at it, we will eventually reach our goals.
Don't give up, although it may seem hard. Put your life into one spot and live right now.
How Smart is ChatGPT?
Language models like ChatGPT are a type of machine learning technology. They’re used for things like natural language processing and other predictive tasks.
GPT-4 is a 32,768-gram model. It predicts the next word from the preceding 32,767 words., and while it appears to be intelligent, the question of it’s actual intelligence is still largely unknown.
Existing tests for intelligence like the Turing Test or Raven's Progressive Matrices Test don't really seem to be the right metrics for testing machine learning technology. So while language models are clearly powerful, we're still not quite sure of their actual intelligence.
No one has a clue how to build a conscious machine, at all. We have less clue about how to do that than we have about build a faster-than-light spaceship. Stuart J. Russell
Intelligence is a complex and multifaceted construct. The concept is a used as a measure of person's ability to learn, reason, solve problems, think abstractly, and adapt to changes in the environment. And human creativity or wisdom are still not well understood and are active areas of research.
In the 1980s, psychologist Howard Gardner proposed there are eight different kinds: language skills, logical thinking, understanding space, musical ability, body movement, understanding others, understanding oneself and understanding nature. In plain terms, people are smart in different ways, intelligence is a complex concept and our understanding of it continues to evolve.
The more we learn about AI and about how the brain works, the more amazing the brain seems. Just the sheer amount of computation it does is truly incredible, especially for a couple of pounds of meat. Stuart J. Russell, Professor of Computer Science at UC Berkeley
Supraconscious Mind
Your subconscious mind is your supraconscious mind. It’s an area of your mind with deeper levels of understanding, intuition and insight.
Your supraconscious is the non-physical you which lies beyond the realm of your everyday experience. It’s your state of consciousness beyond your level of conscious awareness.
Your conscious mind is relatively limited state of awareness. Where as your supraconscious mind knows everything. It’s aware of your thoughts, feelings and higher knowledge beyond your conscious awareness. Your supraconscious can help you make better decisions, have more clarity and purpose and enjoy greater inner peace.
How do you access and use your supraconscious mind? You cultivate awareness. And take action out of that awareness. And you ask yourself questions.
Through cultivating your natural awareness, seeking answers from your self you can access your supraconscious mind to gain information, knowledge and insight into your own life and the world around you.
Before you sleep at night, try asking yourself questions like the following. Who am I? What do I want? What is my purpose? What do I want to contribute? What kind of friendships do I want to have? What kind of unique skills and talents do I have?
And you'll find the more you use it the more ideas, creative solutions, people, situations, circumstances and events converge ‘out of the blue’ as answers to your questions.
By cultivating awareness and asking yourself questions often you’ll find answers will come more often.
And the more you use these to guide your choices, the more rewarding your life will become. The more you practice, the more clarity you’ll have about what you truly want in life and how to use the answers that come to mind.
Your subconscious mind is your supraconscious mind.
Don't worry about anything at all
Don't worry about anything at all. You are not here by accident. This form is just a costume for a while. But the one who is behind the costume, this one is eternal. You must know this. If you know this and trust this, you don't have to worry about anything. This world is so full of love. And your heart, your being, is so full of love, so full of peace. You don't have to go to some place else to find peace. It is right where you are. ― Mooji
Throw everything away, forget about it all! You are learning too much, remembering too much, trying too hard . . . relax a little bit, give life a chance to flow its own way, unassisted by your mind and effort. Stop directing the river’s flow.
Big Mind and Little Mind
Big Mind and Little Mind are terms often used in spiritual and psychological traditions to describe different aspects of the human psyche.
Big Mind refers to the universal aspect of the mind which is open, aware and accepting. Big mind is your source of wisdom, insight, and understanding and often referred to as higher consciousness, enlightenment and your true self.
Little Mind refers to the ego-driven aspect of mind. Little mind is closed, reactive, ego-centered and separate from the universal consciousness. Little mind is associated with the everyday thoughts, emotions and judgments that we experience and has a need for control and security.
You are both Big Mind and Little Mind. And get to choose which aspect you cultivate. You can decide what your life will be like.
Cultivating Big Mind is letting go of the ego-driven thoughts and behaviours of your Little Mind. This disidentifying with the little mind is the beginning of your true freedom.
You can disidentifying with your little mind by acting out of your awareness not out of your mind. To act out of your awareness is to cultivate your awareness and then take action moment-to-moment from that state, which enables you to see your situation clearly, drop worrying about what is wrong and what is right and experience a greater sense of awareness, understanding and inner peace.
Sri Krishna said: Arjuna, when one thoroughly casts off all cravings of the mind, and is satisfied in the Self through the joy of the Self, he is then called stable of mind. Arjuna
Mooji on non-dual awareness
Mooji teaches self realisation through what he calls non-dual awareness. Non-dual awareness is a state of consciousness that connects us with our essential nature as pure being, love, and consciousness.
Non-dual awareness can be cultivated through mindfulness, breathing, self-reflection and spending time in nature. Non-dual awareness is to discover your true nature beyond the stories of your mind.
Never assume that you have attained truth. Don't make any claim to knowledge. Form no conclusion or evaluation concerning truth. The minute you do, your downfall is assured. Whenever you imagine you know something, you cease being open to the living exploration. You have closed a door and cut off the oxygen to the breathing truth.
Give yourself time each day to come back to your inner silence and presence and can experience your existence and self-awareness without attaching stories or thoughts or histories to it.
Take time away from the external world and direct your attention within to return to your inner silence and stillness and perceive and experience the external world from a more centered and grounded place.
Whatever you're doing not just your studying but whatever movements are happening in your life they'll seem to be happening inside your Stillness and spaciousness.
There is a presence, silence and stillness to you. It is naturally present. You can be free of all attachments, fears and concerns to be always fresh and imbued with pure joy and timeless presence. You can be happy, wise and free.
I don’t have to be anything at all. I don’t even have to be myself, because there is no such thing as not being myself. I am inescapably myself. Mooji
Warhol on art, fame and consumer culture
American artist, film director, and producer Andy Warhol (1928-1987) provocative insights into the nature of fame and consumer culture still resonate today, including his most well know remark "In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.”
Andy Warhol died on February 22, 1987, at the age of 58 from cardiac arrhythmia, a condition in which the heart beats with an irregular or abnormal rhythm.
They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.
People should fall in love with their eyes closed.
When people are ready to, they change. They never do it before then, and sometimes they die before they get around to it. You can't make them change if they don't want to, just like when they do want to, you can't stop them.
Sometimes people let the same problem make them miserable for years when they could just say, So what. That's one of my favorite things to say. So what.
I think having land and not ruining it is the most beautiful art that anybody could ever want.
The idea of waiting for something makes it more exciting.
As soon as you stop wanting something, you get it.
An artist is somebody who produces things that people don't need to have.
Art is what you can get away with.
Don't think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it's good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.
There’s a formula to faces we consider trustworthy
Facial expressions on social media profile pictures can influence people's perceptions of trustworthiness and likability. There is a subconscious impact visual cues have on our perceptions and interactions in digital spaces. And it turns out there is a formula to faces we consider trustworthy.
A study has found that U-shaped mouth and slightly raised or surprised eyebrows can make a face appear more trustworthy. And can also increase the likelihood of gaining followers.
Why? We infer the nature of the mind and personality from facial appearances. We look to faces for clues about a person's personality and to guesstimate how friendly and strong they are.
Researchers used behavioural studies and computer modelling and found faces are judged on two fundamental dimensions for different traits: a person's intention (valence) and their ability to act on their intention (dominance).
It’s important to note the research suggests that the feelings we get from faces are an overgeneralisation of how the face looks. And these face evaluations may be reliable when they are used in specific contexts, like in election or mating decisions, however they do not always accurately reflect a person's true personality.

Self-hypnosis
Self-hypnosis (auto-suggestion) is a practice of repeatedly telling yourself something until it becomes part of your subconscious.
The French psychologist Émile Coué invented this self-help method, suggesting people tell themselves "Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better." Coué was world renowned for curing people of both physical and mental illnesses through auto-suggestion.
By saying “Every day and in every way I'm getting better and better” each morning when you wake and each night when you go to bed, you can begin to reprogram your subconscious mind and impact your waking thoughts and behaviours.
No matter what you're going through or who you are, you can be healed through the repetition of these words.
Science supports self-hypnosis as an effective technique. The research backs it’s positive influence on mental health, behaviour, forming new habits and beliefs and improving energy levels. Positive auto-suggestions can impact your mood, performance, reduce stress, increase self-control, improved energy levels and even help manage chronic pain.
Every day and in every way I'm getting better and better. Say this 20 times when you wake up and before you go to sleep and watch your life get better.

Moment 1.55x Anamorphic Mobile Lens
I’ve been reviewing the NEW mobile forms new neural pathways 1.55x anamorphic lens, which draws from the iconic vintage lens 1.5x Iscorama 54 which is loved for it’s subtle blue and yellow/gold flares, rich tones, and a cinematic aesthetic.
The Moment anamorphic lens "compresses" or "squeezes" the image horizontally by a factor of 1.5 times, enabling a wider field of view than what your mobile camera sensor can typically handle. On playback, the image is "de-squeezed" or stretched out to return to its original proportions.
This lens delivers a wider, cinematic view with professional film-like aesthetic, including qualities like oval-shaped bokeh and horizontal lens flares. It works with their M-series cases, and for iPhone 14’s you will need a Moment Case and Drop-in Lens Mount.

Follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly
Don't bend; don't water it down; don't try to make it logical; don't edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.
Franz Kafka (1883–1924) was a German-speaking Bohemian author, who’s unique style gave rise to the term "Kafkaesque". His work is surreal, highly symbolic, bewildering, bizarre, and often characterised by a nightmarish quality.
Beyond a certain point there is no return. This point has to be reached.
Decide what you wish, and abide by the decision
Ask yourself, what is it you really want to be? Imagine a 'you' that loves what they do. One who is completely present and fully immersed in what they truly love doing. Now be that.
Accept that it will take time, work and self-reflection.
From Seneca
It comes from a good conscience, from honorable purposes, from right actions, from contempt of the gifts of chance, from an even and calm way of living which treads but one path…There are only a few who control themselves and their affairs by a guiding purpose; the rest do not proceed; they are merely swept along, like objects afloat in a river.
And of these objects, some are held back by sluggish waters and are transported gently; others are torn along by a more violent current; some, which are nearest the bank, are left there as the current slackens; and others are carried out to sea by the onrush of the stream. Therefore, we should decide what we wish, and abide by the decision.
From Epictetus: First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.
Focus on less, not more
Identify your space, your one-ness. Focus on less, not more.
Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. — Swami Rama
Get f*ckin' going
Most people don't succeed because they never actually get going, or they give up quickly.
The solution is to get f*ckin' going.
Publish early and publish often. Publish consistently. Learn from your audience. Figure out what works. Gain real traction, real confidence.
Once you get f*ckin' going you’ll be on your way to crafting content, products and offers that resonate with your audience.
Choose one topic, one audience, and one channel to focus on for the next 100 posts.
Focus on progress, not perfection
Know the difference between healthy striving and perfectionism.
Healthy striving is self-focused, with a focus on "how can I improve?"
Perfectionism is externally focused, and focused on "What will they think?”
Research shows that perfectionism hampers success and can be a path to depression, anxiety, addiction and life paralysis.

The most exciting thing
The most exciting thing has a powerful tendency to do itself. It is so easy that it is effortless.
Excitement is present when you are on your most profound inner path. It means that you are on your track, not someone elses' path of possibilities. So this weeks excitement leads you onwards to next weeks excitement and next year’s.
Excitement is present when you are on your most profound inner path.
Be careful with whom you associate with
Be careful with whom you associate with. It is human to imitate the habits of those with whom we interact. We inadvertently adopt their interests, their opinions, their values, and their habit of interpreting events. Epictetus

99 percent is hard. 100 percent is easy.
The 'no exceptions rule' is to make a 100-percent commitment to something, with no exceptions. Something is worth either 100% of your effort, or it’s not worth your effort at all.
A 99% commitment means decisions and grey areas. A 100% commitment means consistency, focus and commitment.
To guarantee your success, there can be no in-between. As Epictetus said, a half-hearted spirit has no power. Tentative efforts lead to tentative outcomes. A 99% commitment to something is very hard, a 100% commitment is easy.
Give one thing 100 percent of your energy. There's no room for half-measures. Go all out.
Trying and getting nowhere. Why is that? The answer… don’t try. We succeed by being it not by doing it.
The rule of a hundred
Spend 18 minutes a day (a hundred hours in a year) focused on your chosen discipline and you'll be better than 95% of the world in that discipline.
The power of this rule is in the consistency of whatever you do more than anything else.
Spend 18 minutes each day on your chosen activity and you will become better than 95% of the world in that discipline. Be consistent and you will become great.
Consistency builds cellular memory
Scientific research has shown that consistency builds cellular memory. Cellular memory is our bodies remarkable capacity to preserve memories and experiences within the very cells and cellular structures that make up our being.
Taking consistent action also helps form new neural pathways in the brain, building connections between neurons in the brain and the nervous system. Forming new neural pathways allows for better learning and memory formation.
Be consistent in your pursuits and stay focused and inspired to reach your potential. Enjoy the pursuit of your potential.
Bikeshedding (Parkinson’s Law of Triviality)
The term Bikeshedding refers our tendency to focus on minor details while neglecting more complex, crucial issues. The term originates from a metaphor about a committee prioritising a bike shed's design over a nuclear plant's. Bikeshedding is also known as Parkinson’s Law of Triviality.
Parkinson’s Law of Triviality refers to a psychological phenomenon where people tend to focus more on trivial matters, often neglecting more significant, complex issues. Cyril Northcote Parkinson wrote the law in 1957 observing that individuals disproportionately allocate time to easier tasks or decisions. He observed that the time dedicated to an item on an agenda is inversely proportional to its overall importance or cost.
According to Parkinson, the time spent on any item of the agenda will be in inverse proportion to the sum of money involved.
The Law of Triviality... briefly stated, it means that the time spent on any item of the agenda will be in inverse proportion to the sum involved. Cyril Northcote Parkinson
